2022’s Bureau of Meteorology climate data published

THE Bureau of Meteorology have published their 2022 climate data, and the report found Queensland had above average rainfall and temperatures throughout the year.

According to the Bureau, they found within their statistics Queensland had 774.27mm of rainfall, which was 24.4% above average and Queensland’s highest rainfall since 2011.

Although the state had their coolest overall year since 2012, the average temperature was 0.74°C higher than the 1961-1990 average.

La Niña has also been a constant in Queensland for the last three years, which the Bureau found is only the fourth time there has been three successive La Niña events occur since 1900.
