MIKETEE House has been crowned champion of the 2026 Athletics Carnival at Beerwah State High School after two days of spirited competition, outstanding performances and unwavering house pride.
The annual carnival brought the school community together as hundreds of students competed across a full program of track and field events, with the overall points tally rewarding consistent performances and enthusiastic participation.
While Miketee claimed the coveted house title, organisers said the final scores told only part of the story, with students demonstrating determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the two-day event..
The second and final day featured the remaining field events, sprint finals and relays, drawing loud support from classmates who packed the sidelines to cheer on competitors. The carnival concluded with presentations recognising individual achievements and the overall house champions.
Beerwah State High School thanked every student who competed, supported their house or assisted with the smooth running of events, saying the positive atmosphere and strong participation made the carnival a success. Staff were also recognised for their dedication in planning and delivering the event, with organisers praising their commitment to creating an inclusive carnival that encouraged every student to get involved.
The athletics carnival once again showcased the strong sense of community, school spirit and sportsmanship that defines Beerwah State High School.
