The highly anticipated reopening of White’s IGA Mooloolah took place over the weekend, with the $3 million refurbishment delivering a bigger and better shopping experience for locals. Co-founders Roz and Michael White said the store remains a community hub, with an expanded range, modernised facilities, and a striking flora and fauna mural.
“This store was built for the Mooloolah community – it’s their store. Every detail has been designed with our customers in mind,” Roz said. “It’s been a twelve-month rebuild and we’re incredibly proud to offer a store that is 35 per cent larger in size and now reflects the needs and personality of this wonderful community.”
Michael added the upgrade rivals any of their six Sunshine Coast IGA stores in quality, range, and affordability. Owners celebrated the renovations by hosting a community BBQ on Saturday, April 5 complete with a number of samples and giveaways, face painting and exclusive discounts. Store highlights include an expanded gourmet delicatessen, fresh local produce, a bakery, cold-pressed juice, homewares, and an in-store popcorn machine. Customers who spend $50 will also receive a free barista-made coffee.
The revamped store now spans 1,522m² and includes 70 additional car spaces to accommodate growing demand.
