A timeless treasure

It’s time to visit Montville’s iconic clock shop

By Kirra Livingstone

IN the heart of Montville, time truly stands still at Clock Shop, a local gem offering an extraordinary collection of unique clocks, German handcrafts and European Christmas decorations.

Run by Daniel and his wife Holly and their dedicated team, Clock Shop is more than just a business; it’s a family legacy ticking through generations. The journey began 31 years ago when Daniel’s parents, Phil and Fran, started the Clock Shop after a shift in their careers.

Daniel, who was just 12 at the time, watched his parents nurture the shop into a beloved local business. Fast forward to 2020 when Daniel and Holly officially took over, steering the shop further into the digital age by expanding their online presence.

“Clock Shop is great because it brings the whole family in and creates a feeling of nostalgia,” Daniel said. “People are usually in good spirits when they’re here in Montville on holiday, and our store adds to that experience. It’s unlike anything else they’ll probably ever see.” Visitors to Clock Shop are greeted by a vast collection of exquisite timepieces, from grandfather and cuckoo clocks to chiming clocks and even wind-up music boxes.

Whether you’re an avid collector or simply looking for something memorable, Clock Shop offers a one of-a-kind experience. And if your beloved clock isn’t keeping time, they also offer professional clock repair services.

Daniel prides himself on maintaining the same dedication to customer service that his parents instilled in the business.

“We go above and beyond for our customers, whether they’re shopping online or stopping by the store,” he said. “Even if people just want to browse, we want them to have a great time.”
