BEERWAH State High School celebrated its seventh annual Academic and Cultural Cup in October and for the first time the ceremony was broadcast online.

Although pre-recorded, the Beerwah High community was lifted by soaring voices, emotive and elegant dancing, expressive theatre and orchestral musings.

Congratulations to our 12 year-level male and female 2021 age champions. In year 7 – Ella Holzigal and Archie Pulham, in year 8 – Jessica Simpson and Benjamin Henninger, in year 9 – Macey Searle and Anthony Sabater, in year 10 – Poppy Taylor and Riley Ferguson, in year 11 – Ella Eade and Mitchell Welsh, and in year 12 – Brook Ferguson and Decklan Dodd.

This year it was Team Ngungun who claimed the ultimate victory in a year that saw all four houses separated by a handful of points.

The champions have signed and added their names to the beautiful leather-bound BSHS Scholastic Almanac, adding to the history of age champions who have gone before them.

The year champions also shared in the prizes offered by our generous local businesses.

Thanks to Steve Moon from Vianta Espresso, who has been an enthusiastic supporter from the very beginning. This year we also extend our thanks to co-sponsors Australia Zoo, Laserzone Warana, Blast Aqua Park Coolum, Aussie World, Next Level Ropes Course at Sunshine Plaza, Beerwah Florist and Spinners Bar and Bowl at Caloundra for their generous support and encouragement.

Support from local business during the lifespan of this initiative has been amazing and our awardees were thrilled to receive their prizes.
