SUNSHINE Coast Gerontologist, Tanya Dave, who specialises in the care of older people will be helping hinterland residents navigate the aged care system in a presentation on September 6.
Tanya will be speaking at the Glass House Mountains Neighbourhood Centre from 10am, where she will help understand how to navigate into and through the aged care system.
“We look at what assessors look for when assessing clients and how to prepare,” she said.
The presentation will look at how to access government-subsidised care including home care packages, residential respite and care and assistive products as well as understanding the financial side of aged products including income and asset tests.
