JENNY James’s love of crafting was encouraged by her Auntie Gwen, who taught her to sew and crochet, and by her father, a prolific sock knitter, who showed her to knit and use French knitting spools.
She made jumpers and many other creations over the years.
Jenny organised family crafting weekends, where mothers, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers exchanged skills.
She later turned to quilting, producing rugs, cot covers, and large quilts.
Since moving to Beerwah four years ago, she joined the Down Under Craft Group in Landsborough, developing new skills, friendships, and sharing her knowledge.
