PROJECT works on the B2N Rail Upgrade Stage 1 will bring a series of temporary and permanent changes to local access at Glass House Mountains and Beerburrum as construction ramps up.
The Youngs Road underpass at Glass House Mountains will be permanently closed to enable vegetation clearing, earthworks and construction of rail and road infrastructure.
Vehicle access will not be reinstated, however pedestrian and rider connections return toward project completion to maintain active transport links.
A section of the recreation trail along Steve Irwin Way between Beerburrum town centre and the northern end of Old North Coast Road will close until end-July 2026, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.
A courtesy bus, capable of carrying bicycles, will operate during closure hours. Outside works hours and on weekends, trail will remain open.
Parrot Park, Beerburrum will be partially closed until May 18 for vegetation works, with facilities including car park, toilets and shelter unavailable.
Playground access will remain via western pedestrian entry, with temporary amenities provided.
