Beerwah boxing champ Dana Coolwell headlines April blockbuster

Beerwah boxer Dana “Deadly” Coolwell takes his biggest step yet as a professional when he faces Venezuelan knockout artist Ender “The Tiger” Luces in Brisbane.

The bout, to be held on April 13 at Fortitude Music Hall, will be contested for the IBF Super Featherweight World Youth title.

Dana was sensational when he demolished the highly touted Miles Zalewski last December, earning
himself the Australian title and KO of the Year award in the process.

“This is a massive fight and just wanna thank everyone who helped me get this opportunity,” Dana wrote after Luces bout was announced.

“Come April 13th I’ll be walking away with a new strap.”

Dana has built a strong platform over the years, taking out Queensland, National and Golden Glove titles, and representing Australia at the 2015 amateur World Championships in Russia.

Dana’s opponent sports a perfect 16-0 (14 KO) record and is the Venezuelan national champion.

Another Beerwah fighter out of the Hinterland Boxing Club is Liam Pope who will fight Erik Sokolov for the Australian Featherweight Title.
