Beerwah State School – Bullying No Way day

ON Friday March 18, Beerwah State School celebrated the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (also known as Bullying. No Way! day). This year’s theme was ‘kindness culture, it starts with you’. At Beerwah State School, we teach and practice this everyday through ‘bucket filling’, which teaches children how our actions can have a positive impact on others by ‘filling their buckets’.

We also used the ‘Kind is Cool, Be Cool’ campaign of the Sunshine Coast council. Children identified ways that they can be cool. Some of the excellent suggestions included – cool is sharing, cool is using manners, cool is including others.

Well done to our student leaders who organised and facilitated the activities via video while being on camp!
