WITH her time split between Brisbane and Maleny, poet and writer Patty Beecham will launch her second poetry collection, ‘These Days I Live in Brissy’, a collection of words and love letters to the ordinary, at the inaugural Storyteller’s Festival, Beerwah Library on Tuesday August 30 from 2-7.30pm.
Part philosophical, part whimsical and playful, the poems are elegant thoughts and observations; a love letter to nature, to travel, and domestic life. Patty’s poetry is regularly published in international poetry magazine Prism and has won several awards including The Professor Bruce Dawe, AO, Patronal Prize.
Patty is a member of the Beerwah Writers Group and the Sunshine Coast Writers Group, and a fellow of the International Poetic Foundation.
