Fun evening of fundraising at GH Tavern

GLASS HOUSE local Monique Rigoni is hosting a Big Blue Table Beyond Blue fundraising event on October 12 to raise awareness for mental health.
Monique said she decided to host a Big Blue Table event to highlight the importance of mental health, with the goal to raise $3000. “We have raised $500 so far, but we have a number of fundraising buckets around the community and I haven’t counted them yet,” she said.
There will be a range of local raffle items to be won on the day, including food packs from the Happy Snack Co, and local artwork pieces. “We have also got an auction on the day. Someone has donated a beautiful ring, so we have a lot of local community support with this event,” Monique said. Monique added that the day aims to be a positive and happy event.
“I’m basically just going to be talking to people about the awareness of mental health, and about who you can contact,” she said. “I have these conversation starter cards too to hand out, and they are really good to get to know people.” The event will be held from 11am to 2pm, when the raffles are drawn, at the Glasshouse Tavern.
Raffles will be sold on the day. You can also donate online ahead of the event at www.bigbluetable.com. au/monique-rigoni.
Funds will go directly to Beyond Blue, which is an Australian mental health and wellbeing organisation.kirra@gcnews.com.au
