Big win for Britney at Ekka

REPRESENTING the Near North Coast Sub Chamber and the Maleny Show Society after winning the Young Dairy Judges Competition at the Maleny Agricultural Show in May this year, 22-year-old Britney Holt (pictured with Monica Skerman) recently competed in the Queensland Ag Shows Dairy Cattle Young Judges competition held at the Ekka. Britney was named as the competition winner and goes on to represent Queensland at the National State Young Dairy Judges competition, which is held in Launceston, Tasmania next year. Britney has been showing cows alongside her Father at the Maleny Show her whole life, but it has only been in the last three years that she has stepped out on her own, competing in junior judging competitions. And this will be her first time competing at nationals. Britney said her goal is to become a judge at agricultural shows around Australia.
