Book launch

THE fabulously naughty nonagearian Lisa Plucknett launched her sixth book – an anthology of poems titled ‘Out of the Bath but up the Pole’.
It was a well attended and fun filled Maleny garden soirée last Saturday December 13.

Not Goodbye by Au Revoir

People say they’re thrilled to bits;
To hear my words of woe and wit.
There’s words that rhyme with truck and slit,
That would have given Mum a fit;
She might let off with “Damn” and “Blast”, Then my pardon she would ask.
And now I tell the honest truth, I try to write with charm and couth;
Giving off a pleasant aura, And writing words of fun and flora.
And my Irish Granddad said “Begorrah, Perhaps we’ll meet again tomorrah.” Written in elation, desperation, frustration.
But never constipation;
And yours in happy anticipation, That you might buy this book. Thank you.
Lisa
