HQPlantations opens doors for backstage
By Lewis Kwarcianyi
Business Backstage has once again delivered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at one of the region’s key industries, with the latest event hosted by HQPlantations at their Beerburrum site.
Guests from the Glasshouse Country Chamber of Commerce gained a deeper understanding of the scale and complexity of plantation forestry, an industry that plays a major role across Queensland.
While many locals pass pine plantations every day, the event highlighted the extensive work involved in managing and protecting forestry assets.
Topics included long-term land stewardship, environmental management, fire protection, weed control, logistics, supply chains and timber production for the construction sector. Attendees also heard about the wide range of roles required to keep the industry operating successfully over decades.
Organisers thanked Sharon, Greg and the HQPlantations team for their openness and generosity in sharing their knowledge.
Business Backstage events continue to provide valuable opportunities for the community to gain insight into industries that are often not fully understood, while strengthening local business connections.
