As part of National Volunteers Week, Landsborough Seventh-day Adventist Church members invited various volunteer organisations and individuals to an afternoon tea to recognise the important work that volunteers do in the community. Sam Tucker from Mooloolah spoke about his project ‘Cans for Cars’ which raises money to provide motor vehicles for disadvantaged people in the community. Attendees networked with each other while enjoying a specially prepared afternoon tea supplied by the church catering team. The event was an excellent opportunity for the church to acknowledge and show its appreciation to the volunteers in the community.
