Steller selection of bespoke musical events on offer

THE Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival (SCCMF) returns for 2024 for three incredible days of mesmerising music from June 6-9.
With programming that aims to make classical music more accessible for all, thereby introducing new audiences to chamber music; tickets are on sale now.
The 2024 program features a stellar selection of bespoke events. Over three incredible days, audiences can enjoy internationally celebrated classical music artists, alongside First Nations, jazz and world musicians, all coming together to share their creative passion in some of the most stunning natural locations and intimate venues across the Sunshine Coast.
From Beerwah to Buderim, Maleny to Maroochy Bushlands Botanical Gardens, SCCMF presents an engaging and uplifting opportunity for music lovers across the region to immerse themselves in this year’s innovative program that spans multiple indoor and outdoor venues.
This year’s program features several exciting Queensland and Sunshine Coast premieres with some of the biggest names in classical music in Australia, including Elena Kats-Chernin, Tamara-Anna Cislowska, Simon Tedeschi, Alex Raineri, and the Orava Quartet.
Locally, the SCCMF will feature Orava Quartet In Concert at Beerwah Hall on June 6.
Billed as a ‘A Night of Romance with the Orava Quartet’, this event features one of the most exciting young quartets on the block, already gaining critical acclaim for their thrilling performances, intensity, passion and precision of their music-making.
This not to be missed opportunity to see one of the hottest rising ensembles in the country, will have the quartet perform the Queensland premiere of Swoop by celebrated composer Holly Harrison.
