Coffee Club’s fresh new look

By Mitch Gaynor

COFFEE lovers now have a brighter and fresher option to kickstart their day with a friendly facelift of Coffee Club Beerwah now complete.

The Beerwah Village cafe was closed recently to undergo what owner, Mark Blong, described as a minimal but effective makeover of his and wife Michele’s six-year-old establishment.

Regulars will immediately notice the changes which have made the venue significantly lighter and even more inviting for customers, whether they are popping in for a takeaway coffee or enjoying a sit down meal.

Gone is the two-tone black and white paint, which has been replaced with a trendy new grey palate, Mark said.

Minor changes to the kitchen and preparation area make it more accessible for customers and user friendly for staff.

The dining area has also been restructured with a change in seating and some new furniture while the windows have been stripped to allow for better lighting. “We’re really pleased with the result,” Mark said

“It’s light and bright and makes the place feel open. It looks so much bigger.”

But for Mark nothing changes in terms of his team’s approach to customer service.

“We say that you’re only as good as your last coffee,” he said.

“We give service with heart.”

Mark and Michele (pictured right) said they were committed to continue growing the business hand-in-hand with the hinterland community.

“It’s easy to see a franchise brand as an outsider to the area but we are part of the community,” Mark said.

“You’re known for being the Coffee Club, but our team and owners are local people.  We love what we do and are very fortunate to be so involved in the community.”

“It’s a great feeling to be here every day and be part of a lovely community.”
