Connect with nature through journaling

AWARD-WINNING social enterprise NatureArt Lab is offering a new way of connecting with nature

at the beautiful Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve in Maleny.

With a new series of nature journaling programs on offer, participants will have an opportunity to learn about nature journaling through creating a personal record of nature observations, building science literacy and learning more about the environment of this precious sub-tropical rainforest jewel.

Led by experienced artist and wellbeing facilitator Petra Meer, the first of our nature journaling

programs will start on Friday March 18 with an introduction to nature journaling techniques.

Petra has degrees in Art and Design, and holds a Master of Counselling. She has exhibited nationally and her award-winning illustrations have been commissioned by Parks and Wildlife Services and local councils to illustrate endangered species in fragile ecosystems. Petra recently launched a detailed habitat focused colouring book for Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve.

Explore your curiosity and connection with the natural world through learning to see, promoting curiosity, mindfulness, asking questions and noticing the special details of the natural world around you with nature journaling.
