After six months of hard work, learning 30 songs, some in other languages, nine talented students from Beerburrum State School had the opportunity to take part in the 2022 Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage.
The students showed commitment and courage during rehearsals and four performances which blew the roof off at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Brisbane from July 14–16. Students sang their way through everything from Blues to Suess, ancient songs and Aussie anthems.
They developed performance skills and an ability to work as part of a team of 1,700 students. The event will be broadcast on Network 10 on September 24 at 12noon. Congratulations to our students Alistair, Alleyah, Blayz, Carter, Kiara, Savannah, Scarlett, Skylah and Xavier. The school would like to thank the Beerburrum P&C Association, Andrew Powell MP and our own Student Council for their generous support in assisting our students to participate in Creative Generation. We are looking forward to Creative Generation in 2023 and being able to offer this amazing opportunity to our students again.
