Delve into local GHM history

RESIDENTS are being invited to delve into local history and share treasured memories at the next Glasshouse History Group meeting on Tuesday, June 16. The gathering will be held at the Glasshouse Neighbourhood Centre from 1.30pm and will feature the theme “Made of Brass”, inspired by the old expression “brass monkey weather”.

Community members are encouraged to bring along a favourite brass item, family heirloom or object of personal significance and share the stories behind it with fellow attendees.

Organiser Ron Gillinder said the meetings provide an opportunity for residents to connect through local history, preserve personal stories and learn more about the district’s rich heritage. The Glasshouse History Group welcomes community involvement and hopes residents will take part in the afternoon of reminiscing, conversation and discovery. The event will conclude with afternoon tea, giving attendees the chance to continue sharing memories and stories in a relaxed social setting. For more details contact Ron on 0407 760 989.
