Discover the benefits of tai chi

THOSE interested in discovering the gentle benefits of tai chi are invited to a half-day introductory session at the Landsborough School of Arts on Saturday, September 26, from 1.15pm to 4.15pm.

Presented by the Taoist Tai Chi Society, the session is ideal for complete beginners and is open to people of all ages and health conditions. Participants will learn the first few movements of tai chi and discover how its slow, meditative practice can support health and wellbeing.

Regular tai chi practice can help improve balance, posture, flexibility and circulation, while also promoting relaxation and reducing stress. It may also assist with back pain and other health concerns, making it a gentle activity that can be enjoyed throughout life.

Following the introductory session, participants can join ongoing weekly classes held at multiple locations across the Sunshine Coast.

The Taoist Tai Chi Society is a volunteer, not-for-profit and charitable organisation founded by Master Moy Lin Shin. The Society has more than 50 years’ experience bringing tai chi to communities in 25 countries.

The session costs $35 and pre-registration is essential.
