Disruption to Telstra services

MALENY Telstra customers can expect intermittent mobile phone disruptions for up to two weeks from Monday, June 15, while work is carried out on telecommunications infrastructure in the area.

The outages will affect parts of Telstra’s mobile network during the day, with services expected to be restored each evening.
The temporary disruptions are scheduled to continue for 14 days.

Telstra said customers should be aware that mobile calls, texts and data services may be affected while the work is underway.
However, NBN services, satellite internet, PSTN landlines and mobile coverage provided by other carriers will not be impacted.

The company has encouraged customers to enable Wi-Fi Calling on compatible devices, allowing calls and text messages to be made and received over a Wi-Fi connection while mobile services are unavailable.

Local businesses are also being advised to connect EFTPOS terminals to NBN or Wi-Fi services where possible to avoid delays processing transactions.

Telstra said that Triple Zero services will continue to be supported.
