THE 2022 Changeover Dinner of Maleny Rotary Club was held at the RSL Hall, Maleny on June 30.
The invitation asked people to ‘dress to the nines’ and many did just that even though it was a cold winter’s night.
Roly Neiper, a past president himself, performed Master of Ceremonies duties for the evening and made the evening a relaxed and enjoyable one.
Greg Williams, having served as President of the club for two years, which he did admirably especially as it was during Covid times, was ready to hand the helm over to Paulette Steele.
Paulette has already agreed to be president for two years and on the night there were a few people hinting that she may like to commit to it for three years, which she clearly stated would not be happening.
A special presentation was also made to John Whan who has been a Rotary member for 50 years. Jim Atkinson, Treasurer, did the presentation as he joined the Maleny Rotary Club in 1983 when John was president.
