Glasshouse Chamber tackles AI challenges

MORE than 40 business owners and professionals gathered at Beerwah Golf Club on Tuesday June 2 for the Glasshouse Country Chamber of Commerce’s second major event of the year, an evening focused on the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence.
The two-course dinner and networking event, titled What AI Will Do to Your Business Is Not the Real Problem, attracted strong interest from across the local business community and created a lively atmosphere for connection and discussion.
Guest speaker Kim Serafini, CEO of Positive Prime, encouraged attendees to look beyond the technology itself and focus on the personal and organisational skills needed to navigate a rapidly changing business landscape.
Rather than concentrating solely on AI, Ms Serafini explored themes of resilience, adaptability and leadership in times of uncertainty.
One message resonated strongly throughout the evening: “The goal isn’t certainty about what will happen. The goal is confidence that you’ll be able to handle whatever happens.” Her presentation highlighted the importance of building resilience and maintaining confidence when facing change, a topic many businesses are grappling with as AI continues to transform industries worldwide.
The Chamber also acknowledged the support of Diamond Sponsor Queensland Posts & Beams, whose contribution helped make the event possible. As a volunteer-led organisation, the Chamber relies on local business partnerships to deliver events that foster collaboration, professional development and economic growth throughout the region.
Queensland Posts & Beams, a locally based structural steel business, was recognised for its ongoing commitment to supporting the Glasshouse Country business community and helping create opportunities for local enterprises to connect and thrive.
The event reinforced the Chamber’s role in bringing together businesses to share ideas, strengthen networks and prepare for the future.
