VIANTA Arts will be presenting two local artists in a combined exhibition during the months of September and October.
Dianne Martin finds living on the Sunshine Coast an inspiration for any artist, and with the Glasshouse Mountains as a backdrop, artistic ideas are never far away.
Exhibiting both locally and interstate has resulted in her works now being in private collections both in Australia and overseas. Her choice of subject, style, and colour is consistent with exploring the familiar, traditional, unusual and humorous, with a view to engaging the young and the young at heart.
Her exhibition displays works in both pastel and acrylic mediums and is an opportunity to display styles that both interest and appeal to the diversity of the community.
Pauline Coultis has been living in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland since the early ‘80s. It has always been her ambition to paint, and she studied Art at school.
It had not been until she retired that she was able to pick up a brush and give painting the total, all absorbing attention it requires. She finds that the bright acrylic colours suit her best.
“As this is the first exhibition of my artwork, I am delighted to combine the display with the work of my friend and mentor, Dianne Martin, without whose help and support, this would not have happened.”
