Emergency services are on the scene of a fatal incident involving a pedestrian and a truck on Steve Irwin Way in front of the Glass House Mountains Sports Club this morning (October 15).
It is understood the male pedestrian died following the collision, which occurred around 6.45am.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said police were called to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a truck on Steve Irwin Way. The pedestrian was in a critical condition at the scene, while the truck driver was not injured.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed an ambulance responded at 6.48am, treating a pedestrian in a life-threatening condition. No details about the person’s age or gender were provided. The patient was not transported to hospital, and no further update on their condition was available.
Steve Irwin Way remains closed between Bowen Road and Reed Street as emergency crews and investigators work at the scene.
