ARE your kids inspired to become Olympians? With the 2032 Olympics just under seven years away, now is the perfect time to join Little Athletics.
Registrations are now open for the 2025/2026 season at Glasshouse District Little Athletics, which meets at the Skippy Park complex on Friday nights from September to March.
With a large range of events every week, athletes get to try everything including long jump, high jump, sprint races, longer distance races, discus, hurdles, shotput, and much more!
Lewis Kwarcianyi, the club’s Publicity Officer, said: “We are a fun and friendly club, and would love to see new families join this year.”
The club can accept Fair Play vouchers and new kids can do a trial night before registering.
The first night is September 5, and new families can arrive at 5pm to speak with committee members. There are also two fun events during August to help new families learn more about the club.
On Sunday, August 24, there will be a Sign On afternoon with fun relays from 3-5pm at Skippy Park. And on Saturday, August 30, from 3-5pm, there will be another Sign On day with a colour run (wear white shirts), so invite your friends to come and try athletics.
