ONE of the region’s favourite museums has a special event for everyone to enjoy.
On January 24 the Helicopters Open Day at the Queensland Air Museum is a chance for the whole family to get up close and personal with helicopters. There will be food trucks, coffee vans and ice cream available. Helicopter experts will be on-site, and you can book helicopter rides on the day for a discounted rate. Look through the rest of the Queensland Air Museum’s large collection of aircraft and aviation artefacts. Have an immersive experience in a 737-800 simulator cockpit (for an additional cost and bookings are required). This is a great wet-weather activity as there will be many exhibits undercover.
