A 58-year-old man has been charged with a further 10 sexual offences as part of an ongoing Queensland Police Service (QPS) investigation into alleged offending in the Diamond Valley area, bringing the total number of charges laid against him to 28 offences involving 14 complainants.
QPS detectives said on June 29 the additional charges relate to alleged sexual assaults involving six further complainants. The man is due to appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 13.
Police say the latest charges form part of an ongoing investigation and have again urged anyone with information, or who believes they may have been affected, to contact investigators.
He was first charged in April with 18 sexual offences, alleged to have been committed against eight women between 2022 and 2025. At that time, police issued a public appeal for potential victims to come forward, saying the full extent of alleged offending may not yet be known.
Following that appeal, further complainants contacted police, resulting in additional charges being laid. Police allege the offending spans multiple complainants over several years, and say inquiries are continuing into whether further victims may be identified.
The accused, identified as Shayne Matthew Harris, is alleged to have been the owner of Blue Zen Massage, a home-based business in Diamond Valley where clients attended for therapeutic massage services.
Detectives allege the offending occurred during professional appointments. The investigation was launched after a woman made a complaint in January, prompting a wider inquiry by the Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch.
An officer in charge of the investigation has previously described the initial complaint as critical to the progression of the case, with subsequent public appeals resulting in additional women coming forward.
Police have reiterated that the investigation remains active and have encouraged anyone who attended the business and experienced discomfort, or who has further information, to contact police.
