SUNSHINE Coast dog owners are being encouraged to participate in a series of free, expert-led training sessions aimed at improving canine behaviour and protecting local wildlife.
Hosted in parks across the region, the Leave It workshops focus on essential skills such as recall and the “leave it” command, helping keep dogs, people, and native animals safe. Each one-hour session is led by professional trainers and is suitable for all experience levels.
The program promotes responsible pet ownership by teaching practical skills that reduce risks to vulnerable species, including koalas and turtles.

- Peachester – Saturday 25 October, 9–10am, location TBA
- Mooloolah Valley – Saturday 8 November, 1.30–2.30pm, Mooloolah Recreation Reserve
