Fun, friendship and fellowship with Probus Glasshouse Mts

THE Probus Club of Glasshouse Mountains has kicked off the year with a lively calendar of social outings.

A highlight early in the year was a train trip to Brisbane, where members toured Parliament House and Old Government House before enjoying a gourmet two-course lunch at Strangers Restaurant.

Closer to home, members embraced their creative side at an art workshop in Glasshouse Mountains. The session was followed by a relaxed lunch at the Beerwah Hotel.

Another popular outing saw the group travel north for a scenic Noosa River ferry cruise from Tewantin to Hastings Street and return.

Regular catch-ups have also remained a key part of the club’s program, including ‘Coffee and Chat’ gatherings providing a relaxed setting for members to connect.

Dining experiences continue to be a favourite, with a recent visit to Whippy’s Woodfired in Woodford serving up popular Italian pizzas.

Looking ahead, members are anticipating the May meeting, where guest speaker Caroline Willis will share stories from her visit to the Orangutan Sanctuary in Borneo.

The club meets at 10am on the second Wednesday of each month at the Glasshouse Mountains RSL Rooms.
