GCBF’s successful applicants

THE state government has announced the successful applicants from round 120 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), awarding a total of $14,988,844. Community groups from Maleny and Beerburrum were among the 588 organisations who received a grant.
The Maleny Cultural & Historical Society Inc. received $18,557 to construct pathways, and the Maleny and District Men’s Shed Inc. received $19,500 to construct a driveway and carpark.
The Beerburrum School of Arts Association Inc. was granted $12,226 to install a fence and construct a shed.
Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath said applications were high quality and there was a strong interest in GCBF.
“Round 120 received almost 1,200 applications, demonstrating the vibrant and diverse ideas within our communities,” she said.
