BEERWAH hairdresser Natalie Hazelden is combining her passion for hairdressing with her commitment to helping others by hosting a fundraising Cut-A-Thon for Hair Aid on Tuesday, July 28.
The global Cut-A-Thon raises vital funds for Hair Aid, a charity that teaches people living in poverty the skills to cut hair and create an income.
Natalie, an ambassador for Hair Aid, has volunteered in Indonesia on four occasions, including leading a team at Denpasar Women’s Prison. Closer to home, she also provides free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness every six weeks.
The fundraiser will help Natalie prepare for her next Hair Aid mission to the Philippines in 2027.
The event comes just months after Natalie opened Hinterland Hair and Beauty Collective in Beerwah, fulfilling a long-held dream after more than three decades in the industry.
With 36 years of experience and Swiss heritage, Natalie is recognised for her expertise in colour correction and cutting skills, while her warm and friendly approach has earned her a loyal client base. After many years operating a successful home salon, she decided the time was right to establish a central location to support the region’s growing population.
The new salon also features a luxurious Japanese Head Spa and offers space for other beauty professionals, with Natalie aiming to create a convenient one-stop destination for hair and beauty services.
