THIS year marks a significant milestone for Glasshouse Christian College as it celebrates its 25th anniversary – a journey that began with just 13 students and has now grown to approximately 1,170! To commemorate this special occasion, the entire college – students and staff, gathered on the oval after the college dedication service on February 4 to form the words “GCC 25 YEARS.” As students carefully positioned themselves to shape the letters, staff in the outer ring seized the moment to start a spontaneous Mexican wave, adding a touch of fun and energy to the celebration.
Principal Mike Curtis said, “From humble beginnings in 2000, the College has flourished into a thriving educational community.”
“To see the entire college come together in such a meaningful way was a reminder of just how much we have grown,” he said.
“This anniversary isn’t just about looking back—it’s about celebrating the foundation that has been laid for the future.”
The 25th-anniversary celebrations will continue throughout the year, with the college’s annual open day on Saturday, May 17 transformed into a big birthday bash.
On the same day, the college history book will be launched. Additional events are also being planned to honour the visionaries, staff, and families who played a vital role in shaping the college’s foundation and success.
