Glasshouse history group meets

THE Glasshouse History Group is inviting residents to take a nostalgic look at the creams, curlers, shavers and potions that once formed part of everyday grooming routines.

The group’s next local history meeting will be held at the Glasshouse Neighbourhood Centre on Tuesday, September 15, from 1.30pm, with this month’s theme focusing on ‘Home Grooming Aids’.

Participants are encouraged to think back to the much smaller range of grooming products and equipment once found in family homes, including items used by their parents and grandparents.

The afternoon will provide an opportunity for locals to share memories and stories about changing grooming habits and compare how everyday routines have evolved over the generations.

The Glasshouse History Group welcomes community involvement, with residents encouraged to join the discussion, share their recollections and enjoy afternoon tea following the session.
