A fresh round of government funding is now open to help preserve Queensland’s cultural heritage, with grants of up to $50,000 available for conservation works on heritage-listed places statewide.
A total of $580,000 is available under the Community Sustainability Action Grants for Heritage Conservation to support the protection of sites on the Queensland Heritage Register that are accessible to the public.
Environment and Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said the grants aim to conserve cultural heritage values while boosting tourism.
“Queensland has incredibly diverse heritage places – from public buildings to hotels and homesteads – and it is important that we protect and preserve these places for future generations to visit and enjoy,” Mr Powell said.
Applications close Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
