SUNSHINE Coast Council is calling on residents to help shape the future of Skippy Park in Landsborough, with community feedback now open on a proposed new multi-sports half court.
The court is earmarked for the park’s active youth zone, just south of the existing playground, a location designed to complement current facilities while minimising disruption to popular features such as walking paths, cycling tracks, fitness areas and picnic spots.
The proposed half court would cater to a range of activities, featuring a basketball hoop, netball hoop and line markings for pickleball, hopscotch and four square.
Seating and additional shade planting are also planned to improve comfort and amenity for park users.
Division 1 Councillor Jenny Broderick said community input was vital to ensuring the park continued to meet local needs.
“Please have your say on the future of Skippy Park and the proposed multipurpose half court,” Cr Broderick said.
“By sharing your views, you’ll help keep Skippy Park an active, welcoming and socially connecting place for locals and visitors alike, now and into the future as Landsborough continues to grow.”
Residents can complete a short survey via council’s Have Your Say Sunshine Coast website, consultation open until Monday, March 9, 2026.
