Hinterland Festival set to KickAss

Tickets are on sale now for KickAss Festival 2023 at the Kenilworth Showgrounds from September 8-10, 2023. Featuring legendary Aussie rock god James Reyne, along with some serious musical heavy hitters including The Beautiful Girls, Kingswood, Dragon, GANGgajang and Ash Grunwald; mark your calendars now for this family friendly camp out event.
Now in it’s second year, this two-day festival is set to become an annual fixture for those looking to enjoy a multi-generational music orientated camping experience with a stellar line-up of some top-notch acts performing live right here in our Hinterland backyard.
Festival manager Josh Allen said the event team was excited to be building on the success of last years’ event that was just a ‘dip in the ocean’ compared to what was planned for this year.
“We can’t wait to share this line-up with the public and believe those who love great music, and the great outdoors will absolutely love this festival!” Mr Allen said.
Showcasing some of Australia’s most loved rock talent, the festival will be headlined by former Aussie Crawl front man James Reyne who has gone on garner numerous accolades including ARIA’s, Country Music Awards and coveted place in the Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame. James will be performing with his 8-piece band in this not to be missed opportunity to see one of our iconic Aussie greats live on stage.
Also up the top of the bill are The Beautiful Girls, whose sun kissed, soul-stirring melodies merge reggae, folk and roots and Kingswood known for their infectious hooks and electrifying live performance. The 10-piece Sunny Coast Rude Boys join Mason Rack, Brisbane’s Fat Picnic, Bearfoot, Lecia Louise, Jerome Williams, August River Band and local talent Flaska to round out the impressive line-up.
Carefully curated to cater to a demographic that appreciates adventure and family fun, as well as a younger crowd looking for an unforgettable experience, KickAss promises to be an adventure for anyone wanting to experience the great outdoors, immerse themselves in country culture, and connect with like-minded people over an array of some of Australia’s best talent.
