THE Sunshine Coast hinterland is set to take centre stage during this year’s Curated Plate festival, with a host of events across the region including Glass House Mountains, Montville, Peachester, Mapleton Kenilworth and Maleny showcasing the region’s rich food, farming and hospitality culture.
The full program for The Curated Plate 2026 has now been released, revealing more than 50 events across the Sunshine Coast from July 24 to August 2. Organisers say ticket demand has already been strong following last month’s early release, with several events nearing capacity.
While the festival spans the entire region, the hinterland features prominently, with experiences ranging from paddock-to-plate dining and farm tours to long lunches, cultural food experiences and chef collaborations.
Festival Culinary Director Peter Kuruvita said the program was designed to encourage people to explore different parts of the Sunshine Coast through food. “What excites me most about this year’s full program is the diversity of experiences on offer. You can go from a fire-cooked feast in the hinterland to a seafood lunch by the marina and experience different parts of the Sunshine Coast,” Mr Kuruvita said.
Returning favourites include the Asian Food Festival at Spicers Tamarind in Maleny.Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said the festival was expected to inject more than $500,000 into the local economy.
