Hinterland Telstra outages

RESIDENTS in Eudlo and Mooloolah Valley can expect mobile service disruption as Telstra prepares to upgrade its local 4G and 5G infrastructure.

Works on the mobile base station servicing the area will begin on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, and are expected to take around 10 days.

The upgrade is aimed at boosting network capacity, delivering faster download speeds, smoother streaming and reduced congestion for users.

During the upgrade period, the site will be switched off at times for up to eight hours to allow works to be completed safely.

Telstra has advised that while every effort will be made to stick to scheduled timings, delays or changes may occur due to factors outside its control.

Telstra Regional General Manager May Boisen said the improvements were part of ongoing efforts to meet growing demand for mobile data.

Emergency calls to Triple Zero will automatically connect to another available network if needed.

The works will not impact NBN, satellite internet, landline services, or coverage from other providers. Wi-Fi Calling is recommended during outages.
