There have been numerous vehicle accidents in the past two weeks in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, including the fatal New Year’s Eve incident in Glass House Mountains.
Two women were driving together south on Old Gympie Road when a tree fell on their car on December 31. Both the driver and passenger died at the scene.
Since then, QAS have reported four separate vehicle crashes from January 1 to January 9 in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, most recently in a single vehicle rollover in Landsborough.
Other crashes included a single vehicle crash on the corner of Bald Knob Road and Landsborough Maleny Road on January 8, and a motorcycle crash which caused critical injuries to the rider in Delaney’s Creek on January 4.
