HINTERLAND musician Michael Whiticker has lauded a move to supercharge the region’s music economy.
The newly created Sunshine Coast Music Industry Collective (SCMIC) held its launch event at NightQuarter, on Thursday, June 16.
It aims to provide a platform for a collaborative voice to develop and promote a vibrant industry that attracts and retains talent to the region.
“The realisation of the importance of live music and arts, and the value to all aspects of our community is rising,” Michael, from Glasshouse Musos, said.
