Adaptive Movement Woodford is closing the gap between Pilates and purpose with a charity fundraiser event honouring one of their own on June 28.
Kim Irvin, one of our original Woodford studio members, has just completed her breast cancer treatment.
In a show of support, the local pilates studio is hosting their ‘Hot Girls Check Their Girls’ event, brigning together good food, good vibes and pilates.
“‘Hot Girls Check Their Girls’ is our way of making sure her experience means something beyond the four walls of the studio,” The Adaptive Movement girls said.
Every dollar raised on the day goes directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The event includes mat and reformer Pilates classes, an incredible brunch spread, a raffle, merch bundles and more, with tickets available now through Humanitix.
It’s open to the community, so attendees don’t need to be a member to come.
They also have general admission tickets avaialble for anyone not wanting to do Pilates.
“We wanted to create something that felt fun and real and actually got people talking about breast health, because women are still not checking, putting their health and needs second, and that’s still costing lives.”
