Keep it local this Mother’s Day

MOTHER’S Day is just around the corner (Sunday, May 8 for those of us that need a gentle reminder) and there’s plenty to help make it a day – or weekend – she’ll love.

Why not kick off the celebrations early on Friday May 6 by supporting a great local school at the Peachester State School annual Mother’s Day High Tea. Run by the school’s P&C from 1-3pm it is always a treat, with yummy sweets and treats, fashion parade and raffle prizes.

Clynic are running a Mother’s Day special on Saturday May 7 from 9am – 3pm where you can enjoy a luxurious petite facial with your mum, daughter, sister or friend, followed by nibbles and bubbles.

You can always find the perfect gift for mum at Mooloolah Pharmacy – don’t worry, if you’re not sure what to get, the lovely staff will point you in the right direction. Beerwah Newsagency have a great range of cards and gifts including Darrell Lea Mum’s bags in stock, or for some home pampering, The Healthy Guru have a great range of natural cosmetics.

Flowers on Mother’s Day is a must for many. Forget the last minute dash around town and order now with Beerwah Flowers & Gifts to avoid missing out; if you need a last minute gift as well, there are plenty of options in store.

We’re spoilt for choice with some beautiful venues to enjoy a high tea with a view; The Bergin Lounge at Clouds Montville and The Orangery are two of our favourites. Make sure to book to avoid missing out.

If high tea isn’t mum’s thing, lunch or dinner at the Beerwah Hotel or Glasshouse Tavern might be the perfect way to round out her day, and Baan Thai are making some exciting adjustments to their menu after a recent trip to Thailand. If you can’t fit it all in, why not a grab her a voucher.

Whether it’s a nice meal out, a beautiful bunch of flowers or the perfect gift for mum this Mother’s Day, there’s plenty across the hinterland to help celebrate what makes her special.
