THE Khaita Tibetan Annual Festival is back this September 17 at the Beerwah Community Hall from 10am. The Festival’s mission is to carry the legacy and inspiration of Professor Namkhai Norbu (Chögyal Namkhai Norbu) by organising and promoting various cultural activities to support individual and social evolution of human being in harmony with its own environment. This colourful festival provides the Sunshine Coast community with opportunity to participate in Tibetan culture through Khaita song, dance and food.
This is the third year that the Khaita Tibetan Annual Festival has been held and sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council.
Entry to the event is free, but bring cash to purchase food. For more information about the festival, contact organiser Topgyal Gonste at tibet4you@gmail.com or 0478 321 559.
