Kits for Kids to help South Pacific students

A new program called Kits for Kids aims to deliver basic school items to young students in South Pacific nations.

The QCWA Beerwah Branch is leading the charge as it seeks donations for school children in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and other nations in the South Pacific Area.

Donations could include stationery items such as A4 paper, lead pencils, sharpeners, rulers, clag glue, felt pens and colouring in pencils.

QCWA Beerwah said donated items would be gratefully received and can be delivered to Beerwah Stationery, located in Turner Park Shopping Village. The project is running for the whole of February and March.

Once collected the items will be boxed, delivered and stored at a Rotary International warehouse in Brisbane for shipping to South Pacific Area nations.

For a full list of items please head to the QCWA Beerwah Facebook page. Information about the kits can be found at: https://qcwa.org.au/Kits-for-Kids.
