Lawrence Brothers lead win

LANDSBOROUGH brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence have once again led Team Australia to glory, claiming back-to-back titles at the prestigious Motocross of Nations in the United States.

The Honda HRC Progressive riders, joined by Honda Australia’s Kyle Webster, delivered a dominant performance at Ironman Raceway in western Indiana last week to defend the crown they first won in 2024 at Australia’s historic maiden victory in the event.

Dubbed the “Olympics of Motocross,” the competition brings together three-rider national teams from around the world.

Jett Lawrence stormed to victory in the opening moto and backed it up with third place in the final race, earning individual MXGP honours.

Hunter Lawrence was equally commanding, taking a perfect 1-1 score in the Open class despite a few small spills, while Webster overcame early pileups to finish fifth overall in MX2.

With the Lawrences winning all three motos between them, Australia’s combined 19-point total comfortably outpaced runner-up Team USA on 33.

Honda Racing’s Brandon Wilson praised the team’s achievement, saying the brothers’ back-to-back triumph “is incredible” and “a race that everyone will remember for a long time.”
