CLASSIC rock favourites, live multimedia art and a strong community spirit will take centre stage when Sunshine Coast band Overdrive brings its LET THERE BE ROCK concert to the Glass House Mountains Community Hall next month.
The one-night event, to be held on Saturday, August 15, promises three hours of high-energy entertainment, with organisers inviting music lovers from across the region to enjoy an evening celebrating some of rock’s greatest anthems.
Known for their energetic live performances, Overdrive will perform a mix of classic hits spanning the 1970s through to today, complemented by multimedia artwork created by local artist Dean Reilly.
The five-piece band features John Graham on drums and vocals, Greg Allan on guitar, Mark West on guitar and lead vocals, Ashley Smith on keyboards and Lesley Cowan on bass and vocals.
Drawing on decades of professional musical experience, the group has developed a reputation for delivering crowd-pleasing performances packed with strong musicianship, powerful vocals and infectious rhythms that keep audiences on the dance floor.
Band members say the concert is designed to offer more than just live music, creating a memorable night that brings together music, visual art and the unique atmosphere of the Glass House Mountains.
“Whether people come for the music, the art, the mountains or simply a great night out, LET THERE BE ROCK promises an unforgettable evening,” the band said.
The concert runs from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at the Glass House Mountains Community Hall.
Tickets are $35 and are available through Humanitix. Doors open prior to the performance, with organisers encouraging patrons to book early as numbers are limited.
