Liam Pope hangs up the gloves

HINTERLAND Boxing Club owner and coach, Steve Pitt, has confirmed one of his professional boxers, Liam Pope, has retired from the sport.
In the three years training out of the club and working with Pitt, Liam had won two titles in 2023, and three total in his career.
Pope held the Australian National Boxing Federation Queensland Super Feather title, the Australian Feather title and the Australian National Boxing Federation Australasian Super Bantam title.
He also contended for the Australian Super Bantam title against Erik Sokolov, but unfortunately lost the bout in a split decision in 2022.
His former coach said Liam had achieved all of his boxing goals, and decided it was time to hang up the gloves and focus on his young family.
Liam’s professional stats since debuting in 2021, was six wins, two by KO, and one loss.
